The low-stress booking order
Use this order in either direction.
- Search the return first, including the exact airport and date you need.
- Prefer one booking for connecting flights. If you buy separate tickets, assume you may have to collect bags, check in again and solve a missed onward flight yourself.
- Leave a transfer buffer you can live with if the first flight moves. Do not build the trip around the shortest result a search engine offers.
- If the appointment cannot move, compare travelling the day before with the cost and stress of missing it.
