Announced windows for the Festa da Flor with the Wall of Hope ceremony, both Great Allegoric Flower Parades and the rest of the published programme — each line dated, each date carrying its year.
Dates on this page are the announced ones for 2027 and 2028, and every one is shown with its year. That is deliberate: the commonest error online is a day-and-month line copied forward from a previous edition.
Programme detail on this page last read July 27, 2026.
The Flower Festival is a month-long programme rather than a weekend. It opens with the Wall of Hope ceremony, runs two Great Allegoric Flower Parades several weeks apart, and fills the gap between them with a fashion show, classic car parades, concerts and floral installations. Its timing follows Easter, but not by a fixed offset — the organisers choose the gap each year, which is why a date copied from a previous year is worthless here.

Announced dates
One block per announced year. The window is the whole festival; the lines under it are the individual events the calendar names.
The Classic Auto Parade has a published route: it starts on Avenida Francisco Sá Carneiro and runs along the north lane of Avenida do Mar e das Comunidades Madeirenses to Praça da Autonomia do Mar.
A Flower and Regional Products Market runs alongside the parades, and the Flower Exhibition in the Flower Pavilion hosts the Regional Floriculture Competition.
